Following on from the self-funded success - and rriding the popularity wave as far as it'll carry them - Marvel Studios has unveiled its plan for the next three years.
Although it doesn't have any intentions for a self-produced projects at all in 2009, the folloing year will see a sequel to Iron Man alongside the much anticipated Thor movie. These two big name projects will then be followed up by two Avengers themed franchises - a Captain America movie, which has been hinted at for some time (possibly stimied by general anti-US military sentiments) tentatively entitled The First Avenger, then a full on Avengers collective movie which will stretch into 2011.
With the studio's second self-produced movie just around the corner - The INcredible Hulk - Stan The Man's vision looks to be finally living up to its potential on the big screen. |
