The rumour mill is busy churning out talk of a second sequel to the all-new Batman - before the first one's even hit the box office.

 

Cinema Blend reports that sources inside Warner Brothers deliberated whether or not to recast the role of The Joker after the death of Heath Ledger, but decided against it. Of course, the Caped Crusader's got no shortage of nemeses, and the story suggests he'll be... well, facing a lot more of Two Face in the third installment.

 

Early trailers of The Dark Knight already hint at the creation of the scarred villain, Two Face, and the next movie looks as though it'll continue the story of one of Batman's best loved villains

 

As fans of the comic book and graphic novel franchise will no doubt have already clicked onto, the forthcoming Batman moview appears to borrow heavily from the acclaimed graphic, The Long Halloween. These latest rumours back that assumption up, and also suggest a strong possibility that the graphic novel's follow-up, Dark Victory, will provide the inspiration for the third Batman movie. What does this mean in terms of hot gossip? It suggests a strong possiblity that we'll also be seeing the introduction of Robin...
